Join us for the Mix Tape Tee Workshop ✨, a Wool & Pine pattern taught over 8 weeks (16 classes)!
Every sweater has a soundtrack, let's make yours. In this workshop, we'll knit the Mix Tape Tee from Wool & Pine, a side-to-side stripe tee designed to turn your love for color into something you'll actually wear on repeat 🧶.
You'll build your own color "playlist" 🎶 as we go, working simple garter and stockinette stripes that create beautiful vertical drape, no two tees will look alike. Choose a traditional shoulder seam for a classic tee fit, or leave it wider for an off-the-shoulder look 👗.
🧵 How it's built:
The Mix Tape Tee is worked side-to-side, a fun twist on traditional sweater construction that creates its signature vertical stripes. You'll knit one color at a time in simple garter and stockinette stitch, so it's wonderfully straightforward with minimal finishing. We'll begin with one sleeve, then work the back flat with shoulder and neckline shaping before placing those stitches on hold. From there, we'll knit the front the same way and join the live stitches with Kitchener stitch. Finally, we'll seam the shoulders, either at a traditional width or wider for that off-the-shoulder look.

- Seaming the shoulders, your choice of classic or off-the-shoulder fit

- 🗓️ Starts: Wednesday, October 21st, 2026 (instructions given on Wednesdays)
- 🕐 Meets: Saturdays 12:30-2:00pm and Wednesdays 4:00-6:00pm, for 8 weeks
- 🧶 Yarn: Fingering weight (14 wpi)
- 🪡 Needles: US 5 (3.75mm), 16-40" circular
- 📏 Gauge: 22 sts in stockinette flat = 4" wide; 4 stripes in pattern (2 stockinette + 2 garter) = 3" tall, wet blocked
- 👕 Fit: Relaxed and lightweight, customizable shoulder seam
- ✂️ Sleeve length: Want more coverage? Simply knit a couple extra stripes before starting the body

Before signing up for the workshop, please review our class policies:
✅ Materials: All materials must be purchased from Yarning for Ewe. Stop by the shop for help selecting your yarn!
✅ Skill Level: This class is best suited for knitters comfortable with basic stitches and ready to expand their skills.
✅ Attendance: The class runs for 8 weeks, from May 30th from 4-6pm
✅ Refunds & Cancellations: Class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you’re unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.
✅ Preparation: Arrive on time with your materials ready to go. Needles, notions, and yarn are not provided in the class fee.
✅ Zoom Recordings: Class may be recorded via Zoom for educational purposes, but recordings are not guaranteed and should not be considered a substitute for attending live sessions.
