Colorwork Cardigan Class β Short Rows, Geometry & Color
Β π May 23, 2026 | 2β4pm | 10 weeks
Look at this cardigan. Just LOOK at it. π
This stunning color-blocked cardigan is a geometry lesson disguised as the most wearable thing you'll ever make. Built entirely with short rows, it's a masterclass in how shape and color can do the heavy lifting β no complex stitch patterns, no purls, just pure architectural magic.
You'll knit this beauty in 5 colors of mYak Tibetan Cloud - a sport/light DK weight, 100% Tibetan sheep wool that knits up like an absolute dream. Sourced from an ancient breed of Tibetan sheep roaming freely on the Tibetan Plateau at over 4,000 meters elevation, it's ethically produced and traceable back to the flock. The fiber is exceptionally light, bouncy, and soft - closer to cashmere or baby yak than traditional wool. Not scratchy in the least.
The pattern releases the first week of May, so you'll have a little time to admire it before we cast on together. The shop model is being made in the colors seen on Instagram (check out @mYak_fibers and olgaputanodesigns accounts). Betty is starting the sleeves soon!
What you'll learn:
- Short row construction and shaping Color sequencing and geometry-based designΒ
- How to create bold, graphic results with simple techniques
- Why purls are completely overrated (at least for this one π)
