Kits will be ready for pick-up or shipping mid to late November 2023.
This pattern is Midori's second collaboration with Kokon Yarn. The flower motif is worked not as embroidering but as weaving between the stitches while knitting. It is a traditional Estonian technique and called “Roosimine”, which means Rose in Estonian language. The pattern made with this technique is called “Roositud”. Traditional Estonian Roositud patterns have quite a geometrical form and are working in a set of bright primary colors. I have designed my own flower Roositud. Traditionally it’s used for very tight gauge knitting like mittens, gloves or socks. Intentionally I have worked it in very loose tension with chunky mohair. It gave the motif a 3-dimensional look. The pattern is worked seamlessly from the top down. I hope you can enjoy knitting!
We also have custom Karelia bags by Kokon. The totes can be purchased here.
