Best for Babies and Kids

Contrary to common thought, "baby yarn" is not limited to skeins of pastel-hued acrylic yarn. Here are our recommendations for baby and child sweaters, blankets, accessories, and toys. We recommend these for a number of reasons:

• Cotton and merino are incredibly soft and unlikely to irritate sensitive skin.
• All of these yarns are plied and durable. You may be making an heirloom; make it out of something that will last for generations.
