CocoKnits Quinn Knit Along! May 2023

$165.00

We have left in stock!

This is a 15 week knit along!

We will meet Saturdays 4:00-6:00pm starting May 6th-Aug 12th, 2023

This sweater does use the Cocoknits Technique but don't feel scared if you haven't used the technique before :)

YFE will be providing excel spreadsheets and notes for the charts for each section of the sweater to make your knitting life easier.

While many did a deep dive into sourdough bread baking during quarantine, Julie dove into cables! She wanted ALL the cables, ALL the time – no filler stitch pattern here! The result is Quinn, with over-the-top cables and a relaxed, easy shape. The cables keep things moving along and, once established, are pretty easy to memorize, making Quinn a fun knit with just the right amount of adventure. The shoulders are sloped to avoid a too-boxy fit, and there is no shaping in the body, streamlining both the knitting and the wearing. The resulting cardigan looks impressive but gives up nothing in comfort!

The cardigan is intended to be worn oversized with approximately 8–10” / 20–25 cm ease around the bust; however, choose a size based on your personal fit preference. Because there is no shaping for the body, keep in mind the circumference measurement should also accommodate your hip circumference. To get smaller measurements, consider knitting at a smaller gauge, or larger gauge for a larger garment.

This sweater is worked using a modified Cocoknits Method, a commonsense system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down. The Cocoknits Method is explained in detail in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop by Julie Weisenberger.

The page numbers in this pattern refer to the pages in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, where the techniques are explained in detail. Purchase Cocoknits Sweater Workshop or visit your local yarn store.
